Virus & Spyware Removal
Getting a virus on your computer can be incredibly frustrating. Sometimes it’s difficult to tell if you have a virus or your computer is just running slowly because it’s bloated with unnecessary programs and files. That said, there are some very common signs that your computer has been infected with a virus or spyware.
- New programs mysteriously appearing on your desktop
- Alerts popping up telling you that you need to do a scan of your computer
- Files going missing
- Multiple unexplained errors
The way a lot of spyware works nowadays is to inform you that your computer has a problem and that you need to download certain software to fix it. Alternatively you might get a message along the lines of ‘The police have locked your computer. To unlock it you must pay a find of £100’. This type of spyware is known as ‘scareware’.
